Signature Programs
This KC Current and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City initiative exists to support the mental health and well-being of female high school athletes across the metro. The event convenes young athletes for a meaningful day centered on awareness, support, and empowerment.

The Kansas City Current, alongside U.S. Soccer, Kansas City Parks & Recreation and the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association, announced a historic commitment to youth sports in Kansas City with the launch of a youth soccer league at the 9th & Van Brunt Athletic Fields. This league, presented by CVS Health is designed to expand access to high-quality soccer programming serving youth ages 8-10.

The KC Current mini soccer pitches, in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation, serve as locations where community members can gather to play in a safe environment and introduce the game to a new generation of fans in the metro. Our mini pitches are located across the KC Metro with three sites in Kansas City, Missouri, and an additional location at Banneker Elementary in Kansas City, Kansas.
