The Kansas City Current, alongside U.S. Soccer, Kansas State Youth Soccer Association, and Kansas City Parks & Recreation launched a co-ed youth soccer league at the 9th & Van Brunt Athletic Fields in the Historic Northeast of Kansas City.

Set to begin playing on July 11, 2026, the league will serve community groups across the Kansas City metropolitan area and come at no cost to participating teams and coaches. CVS Health, the Current’s lower back-of-kit partner, will serve as the 9th & Van Brunt Soccer League’s presenting sponsor.

LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS:

• 8-week league beginning July 2026
• 8 co-ed teams, 15 players per team
• Ages 8-10
• Jerseys and cleats provided for all participants
• Weekly games, plus playoffs and a championship match
• Opportunity for Referee Certifications for Northeast Youth through Challenger Sports
• Opportunity for U.S. Soccer Grassroots licensing for soccer coaches
