Ryan Dell

General Manager

Ryan Dell was appointed general manager in November 2025 after joining the Kansas City Current as the head of soccer operations in December 2024. In his position as general manager, Dell will take on additional responsibilities of salary cap management, contract negotiation and player transfers. He will continue to oversee all soccer operations and youth development.

During his year as the KC Current’s head of soccer operations, Dell managed all aspects of team logistics and the day-to-day operations of the club, including schedule planning, equipment oversight and administrative support. With his deep network and entrepreneurial spirit, he also created many unique properties for the club including the successful Teal Rising Cup. Additionally, Dell leads the all-important efforts surrounding Kansas City Current II and the Teal Rising Alliance, both fundamental avenues for a clear player development pathway.

Before arriving in Kansas City, Dell was named the first general manager in Racing Louisville FC history. His duties included oversight of performance, player recruitment and compliance while acting as the liaison between the team and the front office. He facilitated the hiring of head coach Bev Yanez and helped Lynn Family Stadium secure a United States Women’s National Team (USWNT) match, the team’s first game in the city in 20 years.

Dell spent nearly a decade at the U.S. Soccer Federation prior to his stint in Louisville. He began as an equipment manager for the Women’s Youth National Team before working his way to the head equipment manager for the USWNT, a role he held for nearly four years. Dell then transitioned to team administrator for the USWNT before being promoted to team manager. His work as the team administrator and team manager heavily focused on operations and logistics. In this position, Dell handled the team’s budget, schedule and travel in addition to overseeing the management of issues related to the team’s collective bargaining agreement. Dell, who played an integral role in the USWNT’s preparations for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, was also part of the support staff for the U.S. teams which won the 2015 and 2019 World Cups.

A native of St. Louis, Dell holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management from the University of Missouri. He and his wife, Kirsten, reside in Kansas City.
