Katie Scott joined the Kansas City Current in January 2025 on a one-year deal before signing a two-year extension through the 2027 season. Her rookie campaign in 2025 was highlighted by her NWSL debut and first start on Sept. 26, and she started both regular season matches she played in. She helped the Current win the 2025 NWSL Shield. Scott joined the professional ranks after a standout freshman season at Penn State in Fall 2024 where she made 11 appearances with four starts, contributing two goals and two assists. Both goals came during the NCAA Tournament where she helped the team reach the quarterfinals.

Internationally, Scott has been a consistent presence on the United States Youth National Team at the U-15, U-17, U-18 and U-20 levels. She captained her squad to victory at the 2022 Concacaf U-15 Championship and led the U-16 team to victory at the 2023 French Mondial Montaigu Tournament. Scott also played a pivotal role in the USA’s win at the 2024 Concacaf U-17 Championship. She appeared in all six games with four starts at the 2024 FIFA U-17 World Cup, aiding the U.S. to bronze for its best result since 2008. The defender helped the U.S. qualify for the 2026 FIFA U-20 World Cup after their top-four finish at the 2025 Concacaf U-20 Championships where Scott netted a goal and donned the captain’s band in a win over Puerto Rico during the group stage.
