KANSAS CITY (May 27, 2026) — Three Kansas City Current players – midfielder Croix Bethune, forward Michelle Cooper and forward/midfielder Ally Sentnor – have been called up by the United States Women’s National Team for the upcoming FIFA international window in June. U.S. Soccer announced its roster on Wednesday for a pair of high-profile friendlies against Brazil, the host of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The USWNT and Brazil will first square off on Saturday, June 6, at 4:30 p.m. CT at Neo Química Arena in São Paulo before meeting again on Tuesday, June 9, at Arena Castelão in Fortaleza with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. CT. Both venues will host matches during next year’s World Cup. The first friendly will broadcast on TBS, Max, Telemundo, Universo and Peacock while the second will air on TNT, Max and Peacock, and both will be available on the radio on Westwood One.
Entering this international break, Bethune has seven caps, two starts, one goal and one assist on her resume while Cooper has 12 caps, six starts, one goal and two assists. Sentnor has 21 caps, 10 starts, seven goals and three assists. The USA currently sits second in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings and Brazil is sixth.
Bethune earned her first USWNT call-up in May/June 2024 and was selected as an alternate for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team shortly after. She was named to the matchday roster for three of the USA’s group stage matches in the Olympic Games, subbing in during the 79th minute against Australia to be eligible for the gold medal the U.S. won. Bethune’s USWNT debut came on July 13, 2024, in a friendly against Mexico in the buildup to the Olympics, and she scored her first USWNT goal earlier this year in a 5-0 win over Chile.
Cooper returned to the international scene in April for the first time in nearly six months after recovering from a foot injury. Her last call-up prior to April was in October 2025 where she started two matches and dished out an assist against New Zealand at CPKC Stadium. She made her USWNT debut during the 2025 SheBelieves Cup with her first national team goal proving to be the game-winner vs. Australia during the tournament. She then recorded her first assist in a victory over China PR a few months later.
Sentnor’s initial USWNT invitation was in November 2024, and she has been called into all but one senior camp since. She netted the game-winning goal against Canada in the second match of the 2026 SheBelieves Cup in February, a year after her breakthrough at the 2025 edition of the event where she had two goals and an assist. Sentnor started the 2026 campaign by recording two goals vs. Paraguay in January for her second career USWNT brace, and she appeared in all three matches during the April window. She was named the 2024 U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year.
