Q&A With Debinha

ENGLISH VERSION 

Debinha, why did you decide to sign with KC Current? 

As a professional athlete, I always wanted to keep evolving and for that to be in a competitive team that fights for titles, with excellent professionals, I'm sure it will help me in that goal and Kansas City showed that last season. The project that the club presented to me left me really motivated, because of the entire training structure and the construction of a stadium for a women's tea. All of this made me want to be part of it and made me think about being here today. I'm happy with this new journey that is just beginning. 

What are your expectations for the opening of the new stadium in 2024? 

Well, I'm very happy not only for Kansas City but also for women's soccer, to see that the club has its own stadium, I think it's important to also bring fans, I'm very happy to be part of it, to be present at the opening of the stadium in the next year. 

What did you see in Kansas City in the 2022 season that you liked? 

Well, as I said, Kansas City is a very competitive team, well structured on and off the field. That was something that caught my attention, I also have some friends on the team; for an athlete, to play good soccer, we need a team that where we are comfortable and happy, and I'm sure that in Kansas City it will be no different. I'm very happy and I can't wait to be with the team, train with the girls and have a good debut with the club. 

You will have your own training facility in Kansas City. How will this help you as a professional? 

It's very important to see the evolution of women's soccer today in the league and also worldwide, so I think clubs have been doing well for women's soccer, a great evolution, I'm very happy. Of course, having our own structure, I think it makes the team's preparation a lot easier, this is very important. I can't wait to get to know the facility and meet the group. 

What can Kansas City expect from Debinha in the 2023 season? 

Ah, I think joy on the field. Of course, I will try my best to help my teammates, I am very happy to have a new opportunity at a new club, I will give my 100%, I will work hard to be able to help the team and I also hope to score goals, assist, be able to help team and my new teammates. 

What are your goals with the Kansas City Current? 

Firstly, as an athlete, we always want to do our best, impose our best to be able to help the team, I think this is my first goal, to always give my 100%, helping the girls on and off the field, and of course always looking for titles, challenge cup, league, championship, so this is the main objective. Is to keep me 100% well, to purchase victories and consequently,  trophies.

Debinha, por que você decidiu assinar com o KC Current? 

Como atleta profissional que eu sou, eu quero sempre continuar evoluindo e para isso estar em uma equipe competitiva, que briga por títulos, que tem excelentes profissionais, eu tenho certeza que irão me ajudar nesse objetivo e o Kansas City mostrou isso na temporada passada. O projeto como um todo que o clube me apresentou, me deixou muito motivada, com toda a estrutura de treinamento e a construção de um estádio próprio para a equipe feminina, me fez ter essa vontade de fazer parte disso e me fez pensar em estar aqui hoje. Estou feliz com esse novo ciclo que está apenas começando. 

Qual sua expectativa para a abertura do novo estadio em 2024?

Bom, fico muito feliz nao só pelo Kansas City mas também pelo futebol feminino, ver que o clube tem seu proprio estadio, acho que é importante para tambem trazer torcedores, fico muito feliz de fazer parte disso, de estar presente na abertura do estadio ano que vem 

O que voce viu no Kansas City na temporada 2022 que voce gostou? 

Bom, como eu falei, o Kansas City é um time muito competitivo, bem estruturado fora e dentro de campo. isso foi uma coisa que me chamou muita atenção, também tenho algumas amigas na equipe; pra gente desempenhar um bom futebol, a gente precisa de uma equipe onde esteja confortavel e feliz, e eu tenho certeza de que no kansas nao vai ser diferente. estou muito feliz e nao vejo a hora de estar com a equipe, treinar com as meninas e tendo uma boa estreia junto com o clube. 

Voce vai ter sua propria estrutura de treinamento no Kansas City. como isso vai ajuda-la como profissional? 

é muito importante ver a evolução do futebol feminino hoje na liga e também mundialmente, entao acho que os clubes vem fazendo bastante isso pelo futebol feminino, uma grande evolução, estou muito feliz. claro que ter sua propria estrutura acho que facilita muito a preparação da equipe, isso é muito importante. nao vejo a hora de conhecer a estrutura e conhecer o elenco. 

O que o Kansas City pode esperar da Debinha na temporada de 2023? 

Ah, acho que alegria dentro de campo. é claro que eu vou buscar ao maximo ajudar as minhas companheiras, estou muito feliz de ter uma nova oportunidade em um novo clube, dar meu 100%, vou trabalhar duro para poder ajudar a equipe e espero também fazer gols, assistencias, poder ajudar a equipe e minhas novas companheiras de equipe.  

Quais sao suas metas com o Kansas City Current? 

Primeiramente, como atleta, a gente quer sempre dar nosso melhor, impor nosso melhor pra poder ajudar a equipe, acho que isso é minha primeira meta, de sempre dar meu 100%, ajudando as meninas dentro e fora de campo, e claro sempre buscando titulos, challenge cup, liga, championship, então esse é o objetivo maior. é sempre buscando 100%, vitorias e consequentemente troféus.
