National Women’s Soccer League matches to air live on SiriusXM

The Kansas City Current will be featured on SiriusXM across the country Sunday, Aug. 7 when they hit the road to take on San Diego Wave and Sunday, Aug. 19 when we face Angel City FC at home.  

The National Women’s Soccer League and SiriusXM announced today a new agreement that will make live broadcasts of NWSL matches available to SiriusXM subscribers on the SiriusXM FC channel and the SXM app.  

“We are excited for our team to be featured on SiriusXM for a national audience,” said KC Current President Allison Howard. “This NWSL partnership will help us reach a different, more expansive sports fan base. This partnership adds to the Current’s already extensive list of ways to follow each match. We are proud to showcase one of the hottest teams in the NWSL in unique and exciting ways.” 

SiriusXM listeners will have access to the NWSL Game of the Week as the league’s 12 teams compete for one of six playoff berths in the home stretch of the regular season.

In addition to live play-by-play, SiriusXM FC offers listeners a mix of soccer talk and play-by-play 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The channel features live play-by-play as well as daily soccer talk programming hosted by an expert cast of former players, coaches, executives and journalists from the U.S. and abroad.  

SiriusXM FC (channel 157) is available to subscribers nationwide in their car and on the SXM App. The SXM App is available to subscribers on mobile devices and a wide variety of connected platforms in the home including smart speakers, smart TVs and streaming media players. Streaming access is included with all of SiriusXM’s audio trials and most popular plans.  

Fans in the Kansas City metro can already enjoy select matches on Sports Radio 810 WHB and 38 The Spot (KMCI-TV). Current matches are also featured nationally on Paramount+, Twitch, CBS Sports Network and CBS.
