KC Current team up with Brittany Mahomes and 15 and The Mahomies Foundation to show our support for local schools

Kansas City Current teamed up with Brittany Mahomes and 15 and The Mahomies Foundation to invest in our city’s future. KC Current players, Elyse Bennett and Kristen Edmonds, along with Brittany and 15andmahomies visited Banneker Elementary, Lincoln College Prep Academy and Kansas City Girls Prep Academy to show our support in a big way.

With this partnership, we provided grants, lunch for the teachers, athletic equipment and school supplies for these incredible schools.

• Banneker Elementary received $5,015.15 to help with school supplies.
• Josue Aguilar-Bautista the Latinx Education Collaborative's Latinx Educator of the Year at Lincoln College Prep Academy received school supplies for his classes and a $1,500 check for future supplies.
• KC Girls Prep received PE equipment and a $7,500 grant to help start their athletic program.

Each of these schools provide a safe haven for their kids and nurture the minds of our future. We can’t thank them enough for all that they do. We, along with Brittany Mahomes and 15andmahomies, are inspired by each of these schools!
