Kansas City Current to Participate in 2027 Coachella Valley Invitational

KANSAS CITY (Sept. 30, 2026) — The Kansas City Current is one of eight NWSL clubs set to play in the 2027 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI), presented by Fundamental, in January/February 2027 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif. This is the Current’s second consecutive year playing in the annual preseason tournament in which 20 NWSL and Major League Soccer (MLS) teams will be participating in.

In addition to the KC Current, NWSL clubs which are committed to play in 2027 CVI include Angel City FC, Bay FC, Chicago Stars FC, Denver Summit FC, San Diego Wave FC, Seattle Reign FC and the Utah Royals.

The NWSL will feature in CVI on Saturday, Jan. 30, and/or Saturday, Feb. 6. The finalized schedule, including broadcast information, will be announced at a later date.
