Kansas City Current Streetcar Debuts with Season Ticket Member Event Nov. 19

KANSAS CITY (November 19, 2021) – The Kansas City Current, with the help of the Kansas City Streetcar, will unveil a specially “wrapped” car enveloped in the new name and crest. To debut the new streetcar design, the team is inviting all of its season ticket members to a special event at Union Station.

Season ticket members are invited to witness the unveiling of the KC Current Streetcar, have the opportunity to take photos. Following the festivities, members will be the first ones to ride the specially designed car to the new KC Current branded Streetcar Stop at the Power & Light District. 

The Rally House location at Kansas City Power & Light will be holding a meet & greet event following the streetcar unveiling with Kansas City Current midfielder Lo’eau LaBonta and forward Jaycie Johnson. Season Ticket Members are invited to meet the players and get autographs while there. 

The KC Streetcar is a long-standing supporter of Kansas City’s professional sports teams. In 2019, it partnered with both the Kansas City Chiefs and the Kansas City Royals, creating specialty designed streetcars. It did the same with Sporting Kansas City in 2020 and 2021, and again recently as part of Kansas City’s bid for the World Cup. Partnering with the KC Current furthers the dedication and investment in the Kansas City soccer landscape.
