Kansas City Current Players Visit Overland Park Fire Training Center

Kansas City Current players Cassie Miller, Jenna Winebrenner and Victoria Pickett took a visit to the Overland Park Fire Training Center on Wednesday, July 12th, to honor the department’s contributions to the community and help encourage more women to become firefighters. As a club we strongly believe in inspiring bold ambition. We want girls and young women to have visibility to roles where women have traditionally been underrepresented, and in fields they may not have previously considered. The players had the opportunity to tour the facility, try on equipment and learn from a female fire captain.  

The visit was in celebration of Hometown Heroes Night, presented by First Federal Bank of Kansas City, that was held on July 17th against OL Reign. Visiting Overland Park Fire Training Center was an amazing opportunity for our players to learn from empowering women in this field who are continuously raising the bar.
