We are teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the fourth year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.  

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Chicago Stars FC on Friday, September 26 is Ginger from Wayside Waifs!

Adopt Ginger

Ginger a sweet, shy girl who's still learning that the world isn't such a scary place, and every day, she is growing a little braver.

Ginger does best in a quiet home where she can take things at my own pace. Loud noises and busy environments can be overwhelming for her, so she is looking for a calm, patient family who understands that she need a little extra time to feel safe and confident. She also really loves having another dog around, it helps her feel more secure. She gains so much confidence from her canine friends, so she'd do best in a home with a resident dog who can show her the ropes.

As Kansas City’s largest and most comprehensive no kill pet adoption campus, Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. Wayside will serve nearly 40,000 pets and people this year through pet adoptions, youth education, canine training programs, and community outreach. They do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for animals in their care. Only animals suffering from significant medical issues or those that pose a danger are humanely euthanized. They are proud to be a part of Kansas City’s no kill community. Wayside is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity with regional and national reach.
