Adopt Freya, our Mascot of the Match!

We are teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the fifth year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.  

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Chicago Stars FC on Sunday, May 10 is Freya from Chain of Hope KC!

Adopt Freya

Freya, a five-month-old petite calico, is still a bit shy and not overly snuggly but does enjoy gentle pets once she feels comfortable. Because new environments can be a little scary for Freya, she will need to be adopted with her sister, Dia. They help each other feel safe and confident, and love snuggling together in a cozy cat tree or playing in tunnels. They are both great with the litter box and are looking for a patient, understanding home that will give them the time they need to blossom.

Chain of Hope is a passionate animal rescue organization committed to giving forgotten and neglected animals a second chance. They work every day to rescue those who are suffering, provide medical care and rehabilitation, and place them in loving forever homes.

They believe in breaking the cycle of neglect through education, outreach, and direct action. Whether it’s pulling a dog from the streets, helping a pet owner with resources, or speaking up for those who can’t, their mission is rooted in compassion and hope.
