We are teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the fourth year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.  

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Corinthians on Saturday, July 14 is Avalon from Wayside Waifs!

Avalon is a 2 month old great pyrenees. She is a lovable little puppy that will take some work as she adjust into her new home with house training and basic obedience. She is adventurous is excited to do new things! Avalon is ready to be your lifelong companion and should learn quickly with praise, treats and little patience. As Kansas City’s largest and most comprehensive no kill pet adoption campus, Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. Wayside will serve nearly 40,000 pets and people this year through pet adoptions, youth education, canine training programs, and community outreach. They do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for animals in our care. Only animals suffering from significant medical issues or those that pose a danger are humanely euthanized. They are proud to be a part of Kansas City’s no kill community.
