Adopt Linus, our Mascot of the Match! Kansas City Current

Adopt Linus, our Mascot of the Match!

This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the third year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Seattle Reign FC on Sunday, June 9 is Linus from Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter!

Adopt Linus

Linus is a super sweet Shepherd mix with an approximate DOB of February 2024. Being already 33lbs at less than 4 months old, he'll probably be a big boy! He was found as a stray when he walked up to a family's home one night, and when they couldn't find the owner, they turned him over to the shelter. He was very well on leash and he loves to play in the yard with people and with canine friends. So far he has made one friend at the shelter, and the family who found him said that he did very well with their 30lbs dog. He is working on keeping his kennel clean over night. He would be the perfect addition to any family. The only reason smaller kids might be a no go is that he would probably push them over a lot as he doesn't know his size.

Friends of Parkville Animal Shelter (FOPA) was founded in 1999 by a group of concerned citizens, FOPAS’s primary mission is to provide care and find permanent homes for the abandoned and stray animals in our care, primarily accomplished through the generosity of volunteers and donors. FOPAS believes our entire community benefits from the compassion and humanity shown in caring for animals who have been discarded. Animals cannot speak for themselves, so FOPAS speaks and acts for them. FOPAS is a 501(c)(3) organization.
