We are teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the fourth year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.
Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Angel City FC on Friday June 20 is Hammie from Great Plains SPCA!
Hammie is an 8-year-old orange and white gentleman with a heart as big as his purr. When Hammie gets going, it's like a little engine rumbling away. Hammie can be a bit shy and cautious in new places (who wouldn't be?), but once he feels safe, you'll see his true orange-cat personality shine through.
Great Plains SPCA provides lifesaving services for approximately 6,800 animals and 500,000 residents annually in the greater Kansas City area. Great Plains SPCA exists because of our caring Kansas City community and generous donors. We offer a lifelong, full-circle approach for pets and their human companions with our three-pronged approach: prevention, adoption, retention.
