We are teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the fourth year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.  

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Washington Spirit on Saturday, September 13 is Breeze from Wayside Waifs!

Adopt Breeze

Meet Breeze - a female terrier, pitbull mix who is 5 years old. Breeze loves cuddles and scratches. She knows her commands and is still working on her house- training. Breeze would like to meet other dogs in the home before adoption to ensure that they can be buddies!

As Kansas City’s largest and most comprehensive no kill pet adoption campus, Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets. Wayside will serve nearly 40,000 pets and people this year through pet adoptions, youth education, canine training programs, and community outreach. They do not euthanize adoptable animals, and there are no time limits for animals in our care. Only animals suffering from significant medical issues or those that pose a danger are humanely euthanized. They are proud to be a part of Kansas City’s no kill community. Wayside is a private nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity with regional and national reach.
