Regan Steigleder signed with the Kansas City Current in January 2024 in exchange for a transfer fee from Swedish club KIF Örebro DFF. She signed with KIF Örebro in 2022, having transitioned from midfield to left back and started all 25 matches in the 2023 season. A versatile defender, Steigleder made her NWSL debut on March 30, 2024, and contributed to the Current's 2024 NWSL x Liga MX Femenil Summer Cup victory.

Steigleder played collegiately at Northwestern University from 2017-21. She started 85 of the 86 matches she appeared in for the Wildcats, finishing her career with 12 goals and four assists. She also earned All-Big Ten honors twice and served as team captain during her graduate season.
