Nichelle Prince joined the Kansas City Current in January 2024 via a trade with the Houston Dash, where she had been a key player since being drafted 28th overall in the 2017 NWSL Draft. During her tenure in Houston, Prince made 88 regular season appearances, scored 12 goals and was instrumental in the Dash's 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup victory. In her inaugural season in Kansas City in 2024, she contributed two goals and two assists in over 13 appearances.

Internationally, Prince has been a stalwart in the Canadian National Team system, progressing from youth squads to the senior team. She first appeared with the U-17 squad in 2010 and was a member of the 2014 Canadian U-20 World Cup team. Her senior team debut came in January 2013 in the Four Nation’s Women’s Tournament in China. She has amassed over 100 caps with the senior team, reaching the century mark on July 31, 2024, against Colombia in the Paris Olympic Games. Prince has been part of three Canadian Olympic Teams – most notably winning gold in 2021 and bronze in 2016 – as well as two World Cup rosters (2019, 2023). She has 16 goals for her country.

Prince played for Ohio State University from 2013-16 at the collegiate level, amassing 27 goals and 20 assists in 72 appearances. Her accolades included All-Big Ten honors, NSCAA All-Region recognition and ranking in the top 10 for career goals and assists in Buckeye program history. She was the first women’s soccer Buckeye to compete in the Olympics, doing so in 2016 ahead of her senior year.
