Laurel Ivory joined the Kansas City Current as a free agent in December 2024. She began her professional career with Seattle Reign FC in 2022, making her debut in the 2023 UKG NWSL Challenge Cup. She started four matches of that tournament, recording three clean sheets and eight saves while amassing a .889 save percentage. Ivory appeared in nine matches for the Reign in 2024 and earned eight starts, most notably making six saves in a shutout over Kansas City on May 8, 2024.
Internationally, Ivory has represented the United States at the U-17, U-20 and U-23 levels. Ivory was then named the U.S. starting keeper at the 2016 FIFA U-17 World Cup and was part of the 2018 FIFA U-20 World Cup squad.
Ivory had a standout career at the University of Virginia from 2017-21, totaling 100 starts and 8,998 minutes to rank first all-time in program history. Her 42 career shutouts and 68 career wins both rank second in the UVA record book, while her .670 career goals-against average and 194 career saves rank third and fourth, respectively. Ivory twice received All-ACC recognition and landed on the 2019 All-Region Third Team.
