Hailie Mace joined the Kansas City Current in July 2021 via a trade from the North Carolina Courage, bringing with her a wealth of international and domestic experience. Mace has been instrumental in the Current's defensive lineup, amassing over 1,500 minutes in the 2022, 2023 and 2024 seasons and ranking third in all-time club assists.

Mace was drafted by Sky Blue FC (now NJ/NY Gotham FC) with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2019 NWSL Draft but chose to start her professional career abroad. Her professional journey began overseas with stints at Melbourne City FC in Australia and FC Rosengård in Sweden, where she contributed to Rosengård's 2019 Damallsvenskan championship. She returned to the NWSL prior to the 2020 Challenge Cup when her rights were traded to the North Carolina Courage.

Internationally, Mace has nine caps with the U.S. Women's National Team. Her first call-up was for the 2018 SheBelieves Cup and she made her international debut on April 8, 2018, in a friendly against Mexico. Mace was named to the 2018 Concacaf Women’s Championship squad as the only collegian on the roster, helping the U.S. win the tournament and qualify for the 2019 World Cup. Her first career USWNT start was on Oct. 7, 2018, where she played all 90 minutes against Panama in the Concacaf group stage.

Mace saw a standout career at UCLA from 2015-18, leading the Bruins to a national runner-up finish in 2017 en route to being named to the College Cup All-Tournament Team. She finished her college career as a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, First Team All-American, two-time All-West Region player and three-time All-Pac-12 honoree.
