Adopt Scooby, our Mascot of the Match!

This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the second year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting local animals ready for adoption.

Our Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Angel City FC on Friday, September 1 is Scooby from Great Plains SPCA!

Adopt Scooby

Scooby has been looking for his forever home for 270 days. He’s a Boxer/Great Dane mix who is 70 lbs of pure love and fun! His favorite activities are cuddling on the couch with his foster mom and getting out his zoomies in the backyard. Scooby is almost five years old, easy to walk on a leash despite his size and loves sticking his head out the window in the car. He has been at Great Plains SPCA since November 30, 2022, and is ready to find his new family! Scooby does need to be the only pet in the household.

Scooby is available for adoption through Great Plains SPCA, a no-kill animal shelter in Merriam, Kansas serving 4,000 community pets annually. Great Plains SPCA works to save, protect and improve the lives of animals, while strengthening the relationship between pets and their human companions by providing humane sheltering, adoptions, community outreach and behavior and training.
