This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the second year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting one local animal ready for adoption.

The Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. San Diego Wave FC on May 14 is Dove from the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City.

Dove is a sweet girl who has been looking for her forever home since December. She has great motherly instincts, taking care of her many friends at the shelter and loving her people! Dove’s favorite activity is playing in the yard with her doggy friends.  

Dove is available for adoption through the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, an organization that provides preventative veterinary care and spay/neuter services, education and adoptions. In 1994, HSGKC became the first no-kill shelter in the KC area, taking in many pets who are sick or injured and need medical care
