Adopt Victoria! Mascot of the Match Presented by FunkAway

This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. In partnership with FunkAway, the club has launched the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting one local animal ready for adoption for each home and away match of the regular season.

The Mascot of the Match for Houston Dash vs. KC Current this Friday is Victoria, of KC Pet Project.

Meet Victoria

Victoria is an adorable two and a half year-old mixed breed, excited to meet her new family. Victoria has been spending time in KC Pet Project’s administrative offices and is a staff favorite! She is very sweet and loves to be around her people and other dogs. This playful girl also loves treats and knows the command sit. She is looking for a home where she can take long, afternoon naps and play with a furry sibling or two. Victoria’s adoption family will receive gift bags from KC Current and FunkAway as part of the sponsorship.

Victoria is currently housed at KC Pet Project, a shelter working to build a more compassionate community for both pets and people. They care for over 14,000 animals a year and work with other animal welfare organizations to increase the number of homeless pets adopted and focus on lifesaving programs promoting pet retention, identification, lost pet reunions, and pet ownership education throughout the community. Their mission is “leading the way in creating a compassionate, safe community for pets and people through progressive, lifesaving programs and services, community resources, and educational opportunities.”
