Adopt Nina, our Mascot of the Match!

This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the second year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting one local animal ready for adoption. 

The Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, October 7 is Nina from Wayside Waifs.

Nina is a two year old, 50 pound sweetheart who loves to be a part of the action! One of her favorite things to do is play with her toys – she has so much fun chasing after them and tossing them in the air. Nina wags her tail all of the time and the staff says she has a charming, happy, vibrant personality. She will thrive in a positive, patient, calm environment, with people who are quick to praise and encourage her when she is a good girl. Nina is currently enrolled in an obedience training class at Wayside Waifs, where she is learning manners and basic life skills that will help her adjust to your home. She can already come when called! Feeling like a beloved member of a family is all Nina has ever wanted. She is affectionate and social and so much fun! 

Nina is available for adoption through Wayside Waifs, a no-kill animal shelter located in Kansas City Missouri helping over 5,800 animals find their forever home. Wayside Waifs is committed to finding homes for all adoptable pets and prepares pets and people for the bond of their lives.
