This season, KC Current is teaming up with local animal shelters in support of pet adoptions. For the second year, the club presents the Mascot of the Match campaign, spotlighting one local animal ready for adoption.
The Mascot of the Match for KC Current vs. the Chicago Red Stars on Wednesday, June 14 is Charity from KC Pet Project.
Meet our affectionate, 3-legged friend, Charity, who has been looking for her forever home since April. Charity is a four-year-old tabby girl who originally came into the shelter as a stray with an injured back leg. The veterinarians sadly had to make the decision to amputate her leg. Today, Charity is a pain-free tripod kitty and a strong, loving tabby. After a minute of warming up to you, she loves to accept pets and scratches. Charity will even come and rub against you for your loving attention. Charity is now searching for her forever family and cannot wait to meet them. If you are as sweet and loving as Charity, come in and meet her today! She is currently available for adoption at the KC Campus for Animal Care in Swope Park.
